Chat anonymously and meet new people
Say what you really think, meet new people and make friends, without anyone knowing who you are. On Booick your identity stays private unless you choose to share it.
Anonymous to people
Other users see only your nickname and mask avatar. If you sign in with Google, your email is never shown to anyone. Guests can chat too; signing in just lets you keep friends, streaks and coins.
Mutual Reveal
Made a real friend? Either of you can tap Reveal, but nothing changes unless you both do. Until then, messages containing phone numbers, links or social handles are blocked before they're sent.
Group rooms and watch parties
Join or create group chat rooms, or open an Entertainment room (public, friends-only or private) and watch YouTube in sync while everyone chats below the video.
What other people can see
- Your nickname and your mask avatar (plus any skin or frame you chose).
- The gender tag you picked yourself, if you picked one. It isn't verified, so treat it as what the person chose to show.
- Your messages, in the chat you're both in. Nothing else: no email, no phone number, no location, no face.
Meeting new people, at your own pace
Booick is a place to meet adults you'd never meet otherwise: men and women from other cities, people who speak your language, people who like the same films or games. Start with a one-on-one chat, hang out in a group room, or break the ice over a game or a video.
Every connection here depends on both people wanting it. You can end a chat any time, add someone as a friend only if you both accept, and block anyone with one tap. If you'd rather only be matched with women, turn on “Only women can message me” in Safety.
Tips to stay anonymous
- Pick a nickname that isn't your real name or your social handle.
- Don't share your school, office, address or photos of yourself with someone you just met.
- Use Reveal only with someone you trust. It only works when you both tap it.
- If someone pushes for personal details, end the chat and report them.
Frequently asked questions
Can I chat anonymously without signing up?
Yes. You can start as a guest with just a nickname and mask. Signing in with Google is optional and keeps your friends, streaks and coins. Your email is never shown to other users.
Can I talk to women or men on Booick?
Booick is open to all adults, and you'll meet both men and women. There is no gender filter for who you meet, and gender tags are self-chosen, not verified. If you only want to be matched with women, turn on “Only women can message me” in Safety.
How do I make friends on an anonymous chat?
Have a good chat, then send a friend request. If they accept, you can keep talking later in Friends, start a streak, create a friend group or play games together, all still anonymous.
Is Booick free?
Yes. Stranger chat, group rooms, watch-together rooms and safety tools are free. Optional extras like profile flair use coins, but safety features are never paid.
Do other people see my phone number or email?
No. Other users only see your nickname and mask avatar. Messages with phone numbers, links or social handles are blocked until you and a friend both tap Reveal.
Is there video chat?
No. Booick is text chat, optional voice calls, group rooms and watch-together. There is no camera, so nobody can screenshot your face, and your number stays hidden on voice calls too.
Who can use Booick?
Adults only. You must be 18 or older, and you confirm this when you create your mask.
